Web 2.0 dieting and nutrition site: Sparkpeople.com

December 27th, 2006 | Posted in Web 2.0, Web Design 10 Comments »

I have been extremely impressed with http://sparkpeople.com. This is a web 2.0 site that allows you to count calories, track cardio and other goals, interact with others via spark blogs, spark email, and spark teams. It is interactive all the way to the bone.

As the New Year rolls around, I think many are looking to implement a diet. I have been using this site for a few days now and I think it is certainly the coolest tool I’ve ever seen for nutrition and fitness.

Oh My Gosh! I have always been on the “chubby” side since like forever. The doctor said I have bad genes and that my metabolism is just slow at burning food so it was very hard for me to lose weight….BUT guess what? ……..I just lost 10 lbs. in just 11 days! YES! YES! YES! I, the bad genes – slow metabolism lost 10 lbs in 11 days! YES! I feel GOOD! :D I wouldn’t have able to achieve such a thing if it wasn’t for The Amazing FAT Loss rules.

  5. Nice post. I just glanced through it. Maybe I can really read it later

  6. Hi nice post, i have come across your site once before when searching for something so i was just wondering something. I love your theme, would it happen to be a free one i can download, or is it a custom one you had made? In a few months i may get my own domain, but i don’t know how to setup themes so i don’t mind paying someone to make me a nice one and set it all up. Do you know any good Wordpress designer companies, thanks for your help. :)

I found your blog on google and read a few of your other posts. I just added you to my Google News Reader. Keep up the good work. Look forward to reading more from you in the future.

I never knew a site like that existed. I know of a few products that cost 20-50 dollars that calculate your calories and help you follow your fitness but I think this site has more to offer. Thanks for the review.
