In the interview I claim that the EServer TC Library is the most popular website in the field, but don't provide any evidence or support for the claim. If you're skeptical, that's understandable. But I thought I'd post three URL addresses which lead me to draw this conclusion. The first is the TC Library's log analysis, which runs hourly. You can find it at: http://tc.eserver.org/about/recent.lasso . As of right now, it's showing us as serving 16,270 visitors per day. If you can find another tech comm website with data that suggest a larger readership, I'd be very interested to see them. The second is Alexa's list of popular sites in the "Technical Writing" category. Alexa is a division of Amazon which tracks website usage, and provides readership data, ratings and reviews of websites. To the right you can clearly see the EServer TC Library listed at the top, above the STC and TECHWR-L websites. The third is a detailed chart generated by Alexa, comparing the TC Library with stc.org, techwr-l.com, attw.org and cptsc.org. Alexa's Reach, Rank and Page Views charts all show slightly different results, but from these charts the TC Library is clearly four to five times more popular than its closest competitor. The URL for this set of charts is long, but there's a pointer to it at http://tc.eserver.org/about/alexa.html which will take you directly to their chart. So.
