Great stuff, life is much easier with widgets enabled. I suppose like all themes, you need to tweak the style sheets to get what you want. I'm still not sure if we'll end up using Leia in the end, but at least now we have more of an option. I think the best help has been deciphering the names of the sections, at least I know what I'm editing now.

thanks for you help guys, much appreciated.

Jason, thanks for the link. I guess I was confused by the presence of the other elements in the sidebar. Thanks for clarifying and sharing the process for widgetizing it.

Hi, thanks for your response - I think I'll take your advice and leave it alone. I'm thinking about the long term and widgets, language etc are pretty key. I think I liked the flickr plugin at the top right of the page, but you're right - this is only on the theme author's version. Its a shame they didn't follow it through and develop it a little further.

thanks again for your advice - your site looks great by the way.

Although I was really struck by the beauty of the Leia template, I found it difficult to work with. The sidebar is totally unconventional and I wouldn't know how to widgetize it. The sidebar seems to include the header, footer, and other sections. There is a unique style for each section.

Overall, the black sidebar background is hard to work with. The default light green font is okay but not entirely readable. Also, what you download is different from the actual author's Leia themed site.

You don't really get to know a theme until you marry it for a while. This was a case of a very attractive but extremely hard to live with theme. I would recommend a different one.

Hi, We're thinking of using Leia as a theme for our website - you don't know of a widget ready version do you? or anything similar?

cheers, steph
